Dear customers,
according to Regulation regarding credit transfer, direct debit, and assignment of IBAN codes, approved by the Decision of the Executive Committee of the National Bank of Moldova no. 108 as of June 8, 2023, when registering a payment order, in the destination should be clearly specified the purpose of the payment/transfer, with a reference to relevant documents according to which is made the payment/transfer.
Mandatory elements for a payment order:
1. Name of the payer (First name/second name in case of PI).
2. The amount and currency of the transfer.
3. Name (First name/second name in case of PI), the number of bank account/IBAN and beneficiary’s address.
4. Name of the beneficiary bank with specification of the country, address and (if it is necessary) of intermediate bank.
5. The SWIFT code of the beneficiary bank and (if it’s necessary) of the intermediary bank.
6. The payment purpose should include:
a) Detailed description of payment/transfer purpose. Examples: tourist services, marketing services, road/maritime freight services, fruits, cereal products, studies, health care, family expenses (in case of PI) which will not contradict confirmatory documents.
b) Name/type, number, and date of the confirmatory document (if it’s necessary).
7. Confirmatory documents which contain data about the payment/transfer: name/type, number, and date of the document, explained description of payment/transfer purpose, amount and currency, data about payer and beneficiary (name, address) banking details of the beneficiary.
Example of the payment purpose:
Payment for freight road services of cargo/passengers according to the invoice 123 from the date DD.MM.YY
Important!
Information from the payment order and data from the confirmatory documents related to payment/ transfer should be the same, also the amount of the payment/transfer should not be higher than the amount which is indicated in the confirmatory documents.
